CCRSPI Conference 2011
The inaugural CCRSPI Conference was held at the MCG in Melbourne from 15-17 February 2011.
Over 300 delegates attended, with the event brought together scientists, farmers, policy makers and research managers from across the agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries.
PIARN sponsored a concurrent session on the theme of Transformational Adaptation. PIARN convenors Snow Barlow and Mark Howden led the session, which included presentations on adaptation in action within the wheat and peanut industries, and case study talk from rice grower Laurie Arthur.
PIARN theme leader Dr Peter Hayman delivered a plenary talk on farming systems, while a number of PIARN leaders gave concurrent presentations including co-convenor Professor Richard Eckard, theme leaders Professors Peter Grace and Richard Harper, and Research Fellow Dr Lauren Rickards.
A selection of photos of the PIARN team in action during the first two days of the Conference are shown below. If you would like copies of photos, please contact Lauren Hull. More photos from the Conference are available on the CCRSPI website.
