Presentations from PIARN's first webinar, presented by Dr Mark Howden and Professor Peter Grace:

Four degrees or more: Australian agriculture in a much warmer world

14 July 2011, 2.30 – 3.30 pm (AEST)

If the pledges made by world leaders at the Copenhagen climate summit to cut emissions are honoured, we can expect an average warming of four degrees or more. So what might Australian agriculture look like then?

Mark Howden presented a condensed version of his presentation from the Four Degrees or More Conference, detailing the impacts of an average temperature increase of four degrees. Peter Grace outlined some of the mitigation challenges that would face the agricultural industry under such a scenario.
